Browsing the Internet for treadmill reviews, ratings and consumer reports can be a cumbersome task. Given the reach of the Internet and the consumer interest in treadmills, there are surprisingly few recent reviews and ratings available on line. Moreover, most exercise equipment ratings limit their scope to only a few brands or only one segment of the market. To get a reasonably full picture you will need to combine the findings of several different reviews.

humble opinion the most serious treadmill reviews and ratings are the
ones published in the magazine Runner's World, which by the way is an
excellent magazine for everyone who is taking training and exercise

Prevention Magazine - Treadmill Ratings for Slimmer Wallets Prevention Magazine also reviewed some treadmills (Nov-02), but on the opposite end of the market from. They focused on bestsellers between $800-$1500.
Good Housekeeping - Low to Medium Range Good Housekeeping tested a number of treadmills, ranging from $300 to $3000. The rating is quite old (Feb-00) but many of the models are still on sale.
Consumer reports.org - Fitness Equipment Ratings With An Official Touch Consumerreports.org is an obvious reference point. They have an entry on treadmills on their website (Mar-02).
