Review points: Prevention Magazine said the following about Proform 995 SEL : "This treadmill was a wonderful surprise. It's the least expensive of our test group, but a high-quality machine!" -Toby Hanlon, women's health editor TreadmillDoctor said the following about the same machine : "Great looking, great features, below average quality." I believe that you have to take the Proform treadmills range for what it is - a range of discount price treadmills with quality that matches the price... Don't expect miracles and beware of short warranty. Having said that, this is still a good alternative if the wallet has a big say in the decision. Personally I would prefer to step up one level - with warranty that gives you peace of mind and possibly lower long term costs. Take a look at my favorite - Keys Treadmills - if you feel that you can spend a bit above $1000.
