Manual Treadmill - Will That Do?

Manual treadmill - it sure looks good when you check the price list. So, should I consider one? Then I will have some money to spend on a pair of shoes and a nice fitness outfit too...

The simple answer, in my humble opinion, is NO. Buy one with a motor instead - you will get so much more value for your money. The price difference is not really that significant. The same mantra is still valid - your health is worth an investment that makes the whole exercise experience worthwhile.

The risk with buying sub-standard equipment is that you will not really feel motivated to use it. It has to be fun, otherwise there will be just another dust-gathering item in the corner of the garage :-).

So, I believe that with a manual treadmill you step back a few decades. You will regret it. Even the cheapest motorized treadmills do the job better and you will enjoy the experience more.

Then again, I am not always right. If a manual treadmill feels right - buy one :-).

Please take me quickly back again to previous page - Buying A Treadmill - before I get tempted to buying a manual treadmill...
