Cheap Treadmills - Good Value Or Not?

So, how about cheap treadmills. My budget is limited but I am desperate to get a treadmill. How do I do it?

I have been saying throughout this website that it is not a good idea to be cheap when it comes to buying a treadmill. It is likely to not be cheaper in the long run. Well, that is an easy thing to say, but it is not always as easy to do. I don't recommend anyone to get into financial trouble over a treadmill, and the bank account is likely to dictate what price range can come into question, so here goes.

There are no really high quality cheap treadmills. Then they wouldn't be cheap. But there are some decent ones. Prevention Magazine picked a few they liked - two of them under $1000. ( Proform 995 SEL and Smooth 5.0).

Treadmill Doctor 's pick under $500 is Image 10.0 and for $500-$1000 the Smooth 5.0 again.

There are quite a few treadmills under $500 by Image Treadmills and Proform Treadmillsamong others. They are cheap and they will work, but expect the quality to match the price. Again, all depends on how you will use it. Buy them, but know what you buy. :-)

If you look for cheap treadmills in the long run, rather than the cheapest price tag - I would suggest one of Smooth's Treadmills. Their line of treadmills offer a very good balance of price, quality and warranty terms. And they are the undisputable champions of treadmill sales and support over the internet.

If you look at the price tag only, this is the best place to buy cheap treadmills .

Another way of buying affordable treadmills is to find good quality used treadmills. A bit more tricky, but it could pay off. Cheap treadmills and good quality is a rare combination.
